Wow, after a high heels workshop, three packed audition sessions and two call back sessions we have now locked in our cast for Kinky Boots.

 

A huge thank you to everyone who put in the effort to audition. From personal experience I know that this is not an easy thing to do and takes a lot of nerve and courage.

 

As usual, Tamworth Musical Society has an abundance of talent on display. It is unfortunate in a smaller scale production such as Kinky Boots that many very capable auditionees have not been cast. I know the disappointment is real but rest assured that if you did miss out, it is not because you were bad, it is simply a matter of having limited places to fill. In filling those positions the panel takes into account many factors, including but not limited to:- your audition, your previous performances, previous commitment to working bees etc, behaviour and attitude both on and off stage, plus to steal a Peter Ross terminology, how well you “code” for the role or show. Please remember that if you were unsuccessful in gaining a place in the show, we would welcome you along to help in one of the many other capacities available within the production.

 

To those who did make the cast, in addition to the congratulations of the panel, give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it.
